Yusuke just hit 1k, Nagisa hit 3k, Alphonse hit 18k at some point and I haven't done one of these in FOREVER so here goes!! Penance for all the times I've commented to someone else's and then flaked out on giving a reverse.

Yusuke likes Jaime! He seems like a chill dude--the way Yusuke handles things depends a lot on the person he's talking to, so if they're relaxed he's more relaxed, if they've got a temper his temper flares, etc etc etc! SO Jaime brings out his better side where there's less macho posturing and more "let's casual talk about weird shit and complain a little." It's a good relationship for him to have in camp since mostly what he's been doing is tracking down people who will punch him in the face for fun. Jaime's also been really upfront about how camp works which is great! Yusuke likes things nice and straightforward with minimal BSing. BASICALLY: he's a good resource and a cool guy and IT'S ALL GOOD

OKAY I think I talked at you about this once on gchat but Al really, really likes Eugene. He's used to being around a lot of older (military) guys over teenagers so the age difference is something he's comfortable with! It took him a little bit to get used to the level of informality BUT HE'S OKAY NOW. He probably only says "yes sir" or "no sir" on reflex when Eugene catches him by surprise doing something he's guilty about (see: getting warm milk for Marie at 4 in the morning). I think they're kind of at an unspoken agreement when it comes to Serious Stuff--Al feels like Eugene's always there to listen if he needs someone to talk to, but he doesn't feel pressured to like he does with Cosima and Alison sometimes. He hasn't told Eugene about a lot of the things Cosima's pushed him into talking about, but on the flip side he's also brought stuff up with Eugene that he doesn't really touch with anyone else (running into his dad again!) because he knows he can kind of just do a drive-by "this thing happened" and be allowed to drop it when he's said everything he wants to say. Eugene is less likely to fuss so he's a nice sounding board when it comes to mid-level personal topics that Al just needs to put into words. ALL IN ALL a nice, calm male adult role model!

When it comes to fussing on Al's end, he tries to keep it low-key, but he's still more involved than he would with any of the adults he knows back home. Part of that is the more casual relationship, but the fact that Eugene's missing a leg (like his big brother) is definitely a factor, too. I think he's been pretty good at not being too nosy or bossy, but he tries to keep an eye out for little things he can do to help out that other people who aren't used to being around an amputee might not immediately catch--making the extra handle so Eugene can open the window shutter, carrying things for him, minding his pace, etc etc etc little stuff like that!

Also he never, ever intends to bring up the Alison Kidnapping Incident with anyone. Eugene's bluff might have been terrible but if anyone asks Al about it, he doesn't know anything about anything. :|b
